My Story — The Unfiltered Version

I was severely abused as a child. That was my starting point — not a stable home, not a safe foundation, but survival from the very beginning.

I became a mother at 15 years old. And a year and a half later, my daughter’s father was killed in a car accident. I lost a child. I was alone, barely more than a child myself, and I had no roadmap for any of it. I built my life from scratch — piece by piece, year by year.

I built a business and ran it for 25 years. I created something real from nothing. And somewhere along the way, I walked into not one but two narcissistic relationships that stripped me of my identity piece by piece. I lost a spouse to suicide. I carried grief that most people never have to imagine.

And then — at a point in my life when most people would have stayed because it was familiar — I walked away from everything. My business. My family. Everything I knew. I packed up and moved to a brand new state where I knew no one and started completely over.

Not because it was easy. Because staying was no longer something I was willing to do.

Every single one of those moments felt like collapse. Every single one of them was actually reconstruction. Every single time life tried to break me — something in me woke up instead.

That is what Torch and Soul is built on. Not theory. Not research. Not someone else’s framework. My actual life — forged in fire, refined through loss, and risen through choice.
